Staying Busy

Steven works a lot of hours with his new job and we have come up with quiet a few ways of keeping ourselves entertained while he is away besides the pool and beach. First off and most favorite is building forts. Well Aubrey builds and Brigham destroys and I play referee.
There are several places close by that offer free facilities for children. The one pictured is a small science museum but on by the park and rec. department.
We also bought another pass that gets us into 2 Children's museums. They don't quite compare to Marbles's in Raleigh, but we have fun.
Reading stories. We love the Library and have enjoyed reading lots and lots of books.

Nesting season

Ok this is not a real sea turtle
But this is a real sea turtle's nest!!
It is nesting season for sea turtles and I think it would be just magical to watch the baby sea turtles hatch and make their way back into the ocean.

Rain, Rain, go away

I had forgotten all about how much rain Florida gets. Florida is known as the sunshine state but it also should be known as the lighting state (number one for lighting). We are always under a thunderstorm warning and we are not just getting light drizzles but heavy downpours. This hasn't been to bad for me and the kids here at home. But I really feel for Steven who is outside in it. He has an umbrella that he carries with him (everyday. because it rains... everyday) Sometimes he is lucky and is in a customer's home during the storm, other times he has to seek shelter anywhere else he can get it. I just hope it is not under the tallest tree in the neighborhood. Well at least it is pretty and green outside. I won't even mention the humidity.

Day at the Beach

We are enjoying living so close to the beach. So far Hurricane season has been very mild and everything is calm. We just hope it stays that way.
McKay never crawls anymore, it has gotten to the point where I can't even imagine him crawling. He is growing up way to fast. He has his own opinions, and is just as strong willed as my first two. As you can see he has blond blond hair, where did the dark brown go?
Brigham just loves the beach, what kid doesn't love a combination of sand and water. He would sit for hours (if I let him) digging, shoveling, pouring, pounding. Having the time of his life.
Aubrey would swim out to sea if I let her. She sends the entire time in the ocean diving under the waves and looking for seashells.

Our little Mermaid

Aubrey has become quite the little Mermaid, in fact she refers to herself as a mermaid and always finds something to sit on and cross her ankles and make a tail.

She can do flips forwards and backwards.

Brigham turns 4

So much has happened in the past few weeks that I have a tons of great pictures to go through. First and most important Brigham turned 4, Wow, has it really been four years since he joined our family?

I still remember so much about the couple of days before he came into this world. My wonderful sweet mother-in law flew out from Arizona ( we were living in Louisville, KY at the time) and we thought that Brigham was going to early so we had booked her stay for two weeks. Well, we waited, and waited, and he was a no show.

I was almost 2 weeks over due, my help was about to leave and so finally my doctor decided to induce me. I was fine with that, I was induced with Aubrey so I really didn't know any different. Check in at the Hospital bright and early 8:00a.m. ready to get started. I just wanted my doctor to break my water because I knew that is when everything would start rolling. But the nurse informed me that he had been up all night with 2 c-sections so he was in no hurry for me to hurry. So here I was stuck, or I should say strapped to a hospital bed just waiting, and waiting. I got my first epidural (Boy that was an experience) and Finally at midnight when some good friends of ours, the Church's, showed up to say Hi, things started to happen. He was beautiful, 8 pounds 15 ounces, 20 1/2 inches long.

He was named Bebo the next day by his sister when she saw him for the first time and they have been best friends since.
