Beach Day 2

Playing together, so much fun to watch. McKay can get away with a lot. He is actually pulling Aubrey's hair in this picture
Yummy!
McKay loves to explore the beach
I hardly got any pictures of Brigham because he kept floating away

Reading Scriptures

We try to read Scriptures and have Family prayer everyday, and so far we have been doing really well. Aubrey reads like a champ, we are still reading out of the Book of Mormon Reader. We read a few versus from the Book of Mormon that goes along with the story that we read that night. Slowly we are making our way to reading only from the Book of Mormon.

Feeding himself

McKay has decided that he wants to feed himself. This has become quit the adventure and time consuming project for Mommy but I guess I have to let my little man grow up sometime.

By time consuming I mean, the clean up invloved, Mckay NEVER would allow me to put a bib on him and so between the wipe down and laundry. it just takes more time. (on a side note, I now understand why my mom would do laundry everyday, she just got into the habit)

4th of July night- Fireworks

Steven was supposed to be home in time for the fireworks but he called and let us know that he wasn't going to be able to make it. We had returned home and got washed up, McKay took his much needed nap, got some food and then packed back up to go watch the fireworks back at the beach.

We decided, or I decided, not to go out onto the beach but stay on the sidewalk (where is was less crowded). We had about an 40 min wait before the show started but we were entertained but other families fireworks going off all around us.

Aubrey was as excited as could be
McKay didn't care for all the loud noises going off all around him so he wanted to stay REAL close to mom which was fine by me.
Brigham was just mesmerized by the fireworks, he wouldn't even turn around to get his picture taken

In the end my kids just crashed on the way home
All in all we had a wonderful holiday, minus Steven,
I am so grateful to live in United States of America were I have so many freedoms and liberties. I am grateful for all the men and women who have gave their all, even their very lives to make this land a land of Freedom. But most of all I am grateful for a loving Father in Heaven and his Son, Jesus Christ who have watched over this promised land and have made all things possible.

4th of July morning part 2

You could not have asked for a more perfect day to go to the beach. The water was super calm, and clear. There was a refreshing breeze constantly blowing and the sun was shining with only a few clouds in the sky.

While we were playing in the water we noticed this little black fish that must of been super curious because he would just swim around us. Before to long we just had to try and catch him. So with a sand bucket and lots of tries we finally managed to catch him.

I mentioned he was a curious little fish because he never swam away during all of our attempts.

Even after we let him go he continued to swim around us, just wanting to be caught again

Isn't he a beauty

4th of July Morning

We had a great 4th of July this year, they only set back was we didn't get to enjoy it as a whole family. Steven had to work. But we did have a fun time.

The day started out with a trip to the beach. We went as a large group with all of the other APX wives and their families coming
Our favorite thing about the beach has to be playing in the sand.

Delray Beach is quite the happening place to be on the 4th. There was a parade (which we missed) and a sand castle contest going on at the beach. Here are some of the ones we saw:

McKay becoming all grown up

McKay has a become a little person full of bubbling personality. It never ceases to amaze me how at such a young age their personality is already forming. So here is what our little man is gearing up to be:
McKay is:
Full of life, laughter and fun. He hardly ever cries, only when he is has to go to bed or he has been hurt by his brother or sister.
McKay doesn't get mad, he gets even. When his brother or sister takes away a toy he has been playing with, he goes after them and gets it back. His mouthful of teeth usually helps him accomplish this.

He is a tease. He already knows what he needs to do in order to get some attention. Here you can see him tearing Brigham's notebook in half. Just look at the smile on his face, and yes he did not know I had the camera.

McKay also loves to play, play, play.
Throw himself around, fall over, play hide and go seek.
He is just so much fun to just sit and watch. (which I do a lot and wish that time would just slow down, or better yet, stand still for just a moment so I can enjoy more fully these precious years, while my children are young and so full of life and happiness)

Bedhead

McKay woke up from his nap and this is what he looked like

Sidewalk Chalk

The kids are having a blast with whatever outdoor time I can give them.
I have to admit I will only let them color in their bathing suits before we head to the pool now. The coloring can become out of control.
Aubrey's Bug house. We have LOTS of bugs here in Florida so because it also rains so much Aubrey build them a home to help them keep dry.
When I mentioned that coloring becomes out of control, I really should just mention that Brigham becomes bored just writing on the pavement so he decides to use himself as a canvas.
